On December 6, 2018, in order to improve the legal literacy of users, knowledge of the Basic Law of our country - the Constitution, as well as the promotion of legal publications, a thematic exhibition "The most important document of the state" was organized in the Bilim Information and Library Center, which is dedicated to 27 anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In the bibliographic review, a library specialist acquainted users with the materials presented at the exhibition, reflecting the most important provisions of the Constitution, the history of our state and the Constitution, comments on the Basic Law, as well as various legislative publications that are of interest to all social categories of users.
On December 5, 2018, employees of the Information and Library Center "Bilim" together with specialists from the AIDS Center in Tashkent held an educational event - a round table discussion "Everyone should know!" Dedicated to World AIDS Day. The event took place in the secondary school No. 183 of the Chilanzar district for students in grades 10-11. A thematic exhibition “Be Vigilant” was prepared for this event, according to which a bibliographic review was conducted by a specialist of the center. The round table discussion was opened by the psychologist of the school, which, in her speech, noted that, all over the world, this day people talk about AIDS, about the threat to the existence of mankind is a global epidemic. She also stressed that an important task in the fight against HIV infection is the organization of large-scale preventive and informational work. Further, the floor was given to the specialist of the Republican Center for the Fight against AIDS, who gave a lecture on the topic: "HIV is a virus, a destroyer of the immune system." During the conversation, the multimedia product “STOP HIV!”, Which was created by the specialists of ILC “Bilim”, was demonstrated. At the end of the event, a dialogue was held on the topic of the participants, and leaflets containing information on AIDS prevention were distributed to students.
On December 1, 2018, the specialists of the Information and Library Center “Bilim” organized a tour of the library for the 2nd year students of the Republican Academic Music and Art Lyceum under the National Guard. The librarian of the user service department informed the students about the rules for using the library, told about the fund, about the possibilities of electronic reading, about periodicals that are available in the general reading room sector fund. During the excursion, students of the Lyceum with great interest familiarized themselves with the library of the library and the fund of rare and valuable publications, which are the pearl of the Bilim Information and Library Center. Also, taking advantage of this opportunity, potential readers got acquainted with the books and periodicals of interest, services of the electronic reading room. November 26 - 29, 2018 within the framework of the implementation of the action plan for the promotion and promotion of the innovative project “Inlib. On November 26, 2018, in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyoyev of September 13, 2017, the most active reader competition was held at the Bilim Information Library Center. The purpose of this competition is to increase the prestige of books and reading, promote the culture of reading, develop and stimulate reading activity of the young generation, organize cultural leisure through the development of family reading traditions, identify and encourage the most active and creative readers and families. Specialists of the CSC, active readers of the library, residents of the Navbahor community, as well as students of the Republican Specialized Music Lyceum of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the event. At the beginning of the event, the floor was given to the director of the Bilim IBC Karimova H. K., who, in her speech, congratulated those present on the holiday for all lovers and connoisseurs of the book, stressed the importance and necessity of holding such contests and expressed her opinion that reading books contributes to spiritual development of people, especially the younger generation. During the event, excerpts from the works of popular Uzbek authors U. Hashimov, E. Vakhidov, T. Malik, as well as musical works performed by talented students of the Lyceum were heard.
Then, the results of the competition were announced in three nominations: “The most active reader”, “The most read book”, “The most read author”. D. Khamdamov, E. Talypova, T. Karimov were recognized as active users of the library, read a large number of books and periodicals during the year, which are active participants in mass events held in the Bilim Information Center, which showed their knowledge, erudition, and intellect, participating in literary games , quizzes, tests, and also talent - in creative competitions, they are also active assistants of the library in attracting new users of the center. In the nominations "The most read book" and "The most read author" was recognized the book of Utkira Khashimov "Affairs of the earth." The winners of these nominations are N. Akbarov, U.Nuriddinov, S.Ishқuvatov, who showed literary skill in presenting the read work, revealing the positive and negative aspects of the characters in the stories, and also noted the significance of this work as a source of moral education for young people. All the winners of the nominations were awarded diplomas from the administration of ILC "Bilim".
The ceremony of awarding the best Uzbek scientist Scopus Award took place at the Tashkent State University of Economics. The contribution of scientists to the development of science was assessed according to citation in the reviewed scientific literature.
Dilshat Tulyaganov from the branch of the Turin Polytechnic University, Temirbek Usmanov from the Academy of Sciences and Bobomurad Akhmedov from the National University of Uzbekistan received awards in the nomination "Scientist of the Year". Mirabbos Hodzhamberdiyev was named the “Best Young Scientist”, and Shahlo Turdikulova won the award in the nomination “Women in Science”.
The Scopus Award is a prestigious global scientific award, based on data from Scopus, the world's largest database of annotations and citations of peer-reviewed scientific literature. The Scopus system contains more than 70 million records of scientific publications, the oldest of which dates from 1788. More than 100 scientific and educational organizations in Uzbekistan gained access to the Scopus database in 2018 as part of the project of the national program "Science 2020".
The ceremony of awarding the Scopus Award was held in the framework of the First International Scientific Forum of Scientists of Uzbekistan. It was organized by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education with the support of the international scientific publishing house Elsevier.

The event was attended by responsible members of the Central and Tashkent City Council of the NDPU, members of the Veterans Club under the Tashkent regional council of the PDPU, members of the party faction of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, employees of the Nurony Foundation, specialists of the non-budget pension fund under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, members The Kengashes of people's deputies and representatives of the media, residents of the Navbahor mahalla, library users. On November 15, 2018, with the aim of patriotic education of the young generation and in connection with the Day of adoption of the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is celebrated on November 18, the thematic exhibition “Our Pride and Value” was organized in the Information and Library Center Bilim in Tashkent. The specialist of the information-bibliographic department conducted a bibliographic review of publications presented at the exhibition. The final stage of the republican contest “The Most Active Librarian of the Year” was held at the Republican Central Library for the Blind in Tashkent. The competition was attended by employees of libraries for the blind and blind in various regions of Uzbekistan. The main purpose of this event is to identify active and capable specialists working in the field of information and the library sphere and to promote their positive experience in raising the reading culture of the readers, strengthening their outreach work.
